I lie in the wake of a bad dream.
percolating
at the edge foaming
careful—not to
slip, nimble to stay intact
brooding, but not deteriorating
like a true apparition, I saw through you.
unfocused
eyes, chin tucked
smoking clouds, blindspots
obscure the—
black wave, we lie on grass
and for the first time, I was unsure why you appeared.
